Alvin Adona prepares for graduation with gratitude and ambition

As graduation approaches, Alvin Adona, a Restaurant and Catering Services student at Saimaa Vocational College Sampo, reflects on his journey of learning, growth, and discovery.

Alvin is set to complete his studies in the coming months, marking the conclusion of an intensive period of education and hands-on training. Over the past month, he has had the opportunity to work in various restaurants, gaining invaluable practical experience that has strengthened his skills as an aspiring chef.

“I’ve had the privilege of getting exposure to different restaurants and gaining practical experience that has significantly enhanced my professional skills,” Alvin shares.

“My time at Sampo has not only provided me with excellent training but has also opened doors to exciting opportunities and widened my understanding of Finland’s dynamic restaurant and catering industry.”

Beyond the technical expertise, Alvin highlights the importance of the relationships he has built during his studies.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the guidance and support of my teachers, who have become my mentors and eventually my friends. Their expertise has been instrumental in helping me find the right path.”

Looking ahead, Alvin is eager to embrace new challenges in the restaurant industry.

“I am enthusiastic about pursuing future opportunities as I prepare to graduate. I sincerely appreciate the exceptional experiences I’ve gained at Sampo, and I will be forever thankful for this.”
